In the event local municipalities from all over the Republic of Srpska have had presented available projects – Teslić, East Sarajevo, Trebinje, Laktaši, Novi Grad and Bijeljina.
On the event, participants had one of a kind opportunity to meet in person projects owners from seven local municipalities in Republic of Srpska. The total value of projects that are presented is 40 million euro. Projects include different stage works as planning, construction, installation and reconstruction of water and sanitation systems.
Meeting the companies was also a great opportunity for project owners and municipalities to find out more about new wastewater and drinking water technologies in EU countries.
Myriam Dobrota, director of Resenva Consulting company pointed out that the main goal of the conference is to connect project owners with investors.
– We gave the best of ourselves to attract as much as possible project owners and investors from Western Balkan in order to facilitate the realisation of their ideas. On the conference, 10 companies are going to present their knowledge and experience. – said Dobrota
Head of Mayor’s office in Bijeljina, Mile Pejčić, sad that he strongly believes that the City of Bijeljina is going to be the host of many significant events in the future.
– We managed to gather in one place equipment manufacturers, investors who are the best in the field of wastewater and drinking water and representatives of local utilities. We hope that big part of these projects is going to be realised thanks to professional consulting with investors who will be staying in Bijeljina during these two days. – said Pejčić
Philippe Kupfer, Austrian Commercial Counselor in BiH, reminded that in the previous period Austrian investments in BIH have been around 1,3 billion of euro.
– Embassy contacted Austrian companies and informed them about this conference. Also, we presented them potentials cities and municipalities in the Republic of Srpska. – said Kupfer, and reminded us of the very successful project, Wastewater plant in Bjeljina, which is realised by Austrian company Wabag.
